Nikita Gandhi

Born and raised in Abu Dhabi, Nikita has been cooking independently since the age of 8 years. I moved to The United States of America for university and graduated in 2014 majoring in Business Finance. Although always having been passionate about cooking and baking, I realized only after four years of studying finance that I wanted to make food my career. Masterchef India marked the beginning of her real-world culinary journey that happened to continue as she interned in pastry at a hotel in Abu Dhabi.

 

Being a hardcore vegetarian and having won the world’s first ever all-vegetarian Masterchef, her expertise undoubtedly lies in vegetarian cooking and baking. Her recipes are sometimes vegan yet always vegetarian and are usually inspired by her Indian roots and innovated by her Middle Eastern upbringing, making every dish a unique affair.

 

The Masterchef journey has led Nikita to a series of culinary experiences including running workshops, partnering with brands, designing and developing innovative vegetarian menus with a global appeal for weddings and private events and hosting live cooking shows in various cities within The United States, Singapore, Malaysia, Bahrain, India and the UAE.
